A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as a mild to moderate heat with tiny pricks. The treatment area may feel warm and tight afterward, similar to a sunburn, for a few days.
Initial healing takes 5-7 days as carbon crusts form and naturally shed. Full collagen remodeling continues for 8-12 weeks post-treatment. Most clients return to normal activities within a week, with makeup covering any remaining marks after day 5.
Many clients see significant improvement after a single session. However, depending on the area treated and the severity of skin laxity, 1-3 sessions may be recommended for optimal results. Sessions are spaced 8-12 weeks apart to allow full collagen remodeling.
Ideal candidates have mild to moderate skin laxity, fine lines, or crepey texture. A consultation is required to assess your skin type, condition, and medical history. It may not be suitable for those with certain autoimmune conditions, active skin infections in the area, or a history of keloid scarring. Deeper skin tones carry a higher risk of pigmentation changes, so suitability is assessed carefully.
Results can last 2-5 years depending on your age, skin condition, lifestyle, and skincare regimen. The treatment stimulates your body's own collagen production, so the improvements are structural rather than superficial. A good home care routine with medical-grade products helps extend results.

For mild to moderate hooding, plasma can visibly tighten and lift the upper eyelid without surgery. It isn't a replacement for surgery when there is significant excess skin or fat; if that's the case, we'll tell you honestly at your consultation.
