Collagen Induction Therapy

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a regenerative treatment that works by creating precise, controlled micro-channels in the skin. These micro-channels communicate with the skin’s repair system, signaling collagen and elastin production without unnecessary trauma.

Guided by the regenerative philosophy taught by Dr Des Fernandes, who is a pioneer of microneedling and the face behind Environ skincare. our approach prioritizes precision over aggression. The goal is not injury. It is intelligent stimulation that respects the skin barrier and healing process. When microneedling is performed correctly, the skin responds with strength, resilience, and improved structure over time.

“Collagen induction therapy isn’t about chasing youth. It’s about reminding the skin how to function optimally again, stimulating collagen, strengthening the barrier, and improving texture from the inside out.”

MICRONEEDLING FAQ

A deeper look into your microneedling experience, calm, restorative, and regenerative by design.

How soon will I see improvements after microneedling?

Microneedling with advanced ingredients like PDRN, exosomes, and retinoids initiates your body’s natural collagen regeneration process. While some clients notice improved texture and hydration within the first week, more visible results such as firmer, smoother skin typically appear within 3 to 6 weeks. Full collagen remodeling and long-term skin improvements can be seen over the course of 2 to 3 months, especially with a consistent treatment plan.

How many sessions are recommended for best results?

For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3 to 6 microneedling sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart depending on your skin’s condition and goals. Clients seeking corrective results for pigmentation, acne scars, or advanced aging may benefit from additional treatments. A personalized plan will be discussed during your consultation.

What should I expect during and after the treatment?

After cleansing and applying a numbing cream for comfort, the microneedling device creates micro-channels in the skin. These are then infused with active serums like PDRN (for regeneration), exosomes (for cellular repair), and retinoids (for resurfacing).
Post-treatment, your skin may appear red or flushed, similar to a mild to moderate sunburn. Mild swelling or sensitivity is normal and typically resolves within 24–72 hours. Downtime is minimal, and many clients return to their regular activities the next day.

How should I prepare for a microneedling session?

For enhanced results, we recommend starting a pre-treatment skincare protocol at least 4–8 weeks prior to your first session. This may include using Environ Vitamin A and C serums, as they help strengthen the skin, support collagen synthesis, and reduce inflammation. Avoid using retinol, exfoliants, or undergoing waxing or laser treatments for at least 5 days before your appointment.
